We are Anaheim, SOMOS Anaheim— more commonly referred to as SOMOS Anaheim— is a community group dedicated to fostering unity and progress in Anaheim.
SOMOS Anaheim was formed after organizing a peace march during the summer of 2012 and has since coordinated a variety of service learning opportunities, neighborhood beatification projects, and community-building events. We have also adopted numerous families through the City of Anaheim’s Community Services Department’s Christmas Adopt-a-Family. In 2013 we started the Canastas for College Anaheim project through which we gift baskets full of college essentials and gift cards to deserving college-bound high school seniors in Anaheim. Since 2014, SOMOS Anaheim has worked with the City of Anaheim Community Services Department and Anaheim Community Foundation to bring to the community Día de los Muertos: A Night of Community and Culture.
We are inspired by our love for Anaheim and driven by our desire to make our city the best it can be, not only for ourselves, but for our neighbors and future generations.

My name is Lorena and I’ve lived in Anaheim practically all my life and now I’m raising my family in Anaheim. My sons simply love their city and its history. Now, we’re so happy to see all the progress Anaheim is making. Its very exciting to see and I have to say that I did not know about Somos Anaheim until recently. Thank you for all you do, you are truly a wonderful organization.
